Isaiah Hobus

Isaiah Hobus is a recent graduate of Bethel University with a degree in biblical and theological studies, and currently a Master’s of Divinity student with an emphasis in Christian community development at Northern Seminary. He is also a youth outreach associate at a nonprofit ministry for teens, Treehouse Hope in Minnetonka, Minnesota, where he mentors teenagers. In his spare time, he enjoys reliving his days as a college athlete in cross country and track through runs, sticking his nose in a book, and guzzling black coffee.


Naomi Lu

Naomi K. Lu is a Chinese-American Third Culture Kid who grew up in East Asia. An educator and a writer, she is passionate about Asian mental health, depression treatment, and suicide prevention. She currently lives in California with her three dogs.


Sherene Joseph

Sherene Joseph is a Third Culture Kid, born in India, raised in Sultanate of Oman and have been in the United States for the last 19 years. She is married to Joe and has two kids, 19 and 15. She is a Deacon at Irving Bible Church and serves on the Women’s Bible Study Teaching team. She also works with her husband on the Marriage at IBC team. She is passionate about being involved in Be the Bridge and racial reconciliation groups, helping people be bridge builders, and writing and talking about the intersection of Faith, Culture & Community.


Paul Youngbin Kim, Ph.D.

Paul Youngbin Kim, Ph.D., is a Professor of Psychology at Seattle Pacific University. As a counseling psychologist, Paul has written extensively about Asian and Asian American experiences and how religion might intersect with these experiences, such as attitudes toward seeking professional psychological help, racial microaggressions, and model minority stereotype.
